Production Manager


Our client went through a period of unprecedented growth in 2011. For 2012 they are planning to further develop this in the UK and across into the European marketplace. As a result they are looking to recruit a Production Manager for their Milton Keynes warehouse to manage the production team and to ensure that production is maximised within the budgetary parameters at all times. 

Key responsibilities of this role will include:
To control all expenditure in line with the annual budget and control and analyse unit cost, to ensure that each section of the production line is being optimised at all times. You will also demonstrate, upon request, an up to date snapshot of the volume of work required to be throughput by each department and to forward plan to manage any likely shortfalls.

 Direct line management of production employees, affording the Production Co-ordinator the autonomy to manage independently.


To ensure the control and accurate recording of all stock and accurate recording of all wastage whilst arranging the production environment to ensure all employees are clear about their individual roles and responsibilities and expected output.


To improve production systems and processes as required so that the Production Area complies with all health and safety regulations, and that all team members adhere to company health and safety policy.


To hold regular Production Meetings in order to ensure that the Team are aware of back order and error levels. You will also need to ensure that during annual breaks the Production Supervisor is well briefed beforehand in order to take responsibility of the daily smooth running of the Production Area. Staff management and morale are key requirements of the position!


Successful applicants will likely be able to demonstrate a proven background in production or warehouse operational management. Ideally you will be a multi-tasker with a passion for exceeding set targets and objectives.
